How it Works

Welcome to the Family Tree Platform. Here is how you can use the system to discover and preserve your lineage.

1. Search for Ancestors

Start by searching for your first name or surname on the homepage. Our high-performance search engine handles spelling variations and village-based filtering to help you find precisely who you're looking for.

2. Explore the Family Tree

Once you find a relative, click through to their profile to see their biological and matrimonial connections. The system automatically calculates relationships like Grandparents, Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins based on direct parent/child links.

3. Claim Your Profile

If you find yourself in the tree, you can "Claim" your profile. You'll need to verify your identity by answering security questions about your direct family members. Once verified, you can manage your own information.

4. Contribute Data

Administrators and verified users can add new members. All new names (First Names and Surnames) must be approved by an Administrator to ensure data accuracy and standard naming conventions across the archive.

5. Data Validation

To maintain a high-quality database, the system uses a validation workflow. This prevents duplicates and ensures that all geographic locations (Villages, Talukas, etc.) are correctly mapped.
